Message from the Principal

Greetings to the REACH! Family,

As the new Principal of the REACH! Partnership, I look forward to serving the students that will be entering their respective classes this fall. There has been a great deal of planning and preparation for the opening of the school year and are I am looking forward to school starting.

I also look forward to serving the parents of each of our families at REACH! It is a great undertaking to raise a child and prepare them for life. I know, because I have six children and I know that each parent is looking for the same opportunities from their school as I have over the years. I believe that REACH! was the right choice for each of you. I look forward to working with you as you spend time volunteering at the school or participating in other events that take place at REACH!

In this undertaking we must also have the support of the community and business partners. I look forward to working with our partners; Allied Builders, and Contractors, Johnson Controls, Inc. Johns Hopkins Medical System, Stevenson University, the Graceland community, AmeriCorps, and the Baltimore City Public School System, in the future. We all need each other to make this endeavor work.

Students need choices to prepare for life. REACH! will provide those choices for each student in the form of a rigorous academic curriculum that will prepare them for college. REACH! will also provide a career focus in construction or health care that can lead to certification and employment, or as a basis for a continued college program.

REACH! will provide the structure for success. Students must take the responsibility for their education by applying themselves in the classroom and conducting themselves appropriately at all times.

REACH! was the right choice! I look forward to a great year and the start of a wonderful learning opportunity for students in the class of 2012 and the class of 2015!!!
